7. How long does the Debt Settlement Program take?

Depending on the status of your accounts, FH Financial can usually have settlements reached with creditors within 3 days.  Sometimes, it may take longer though if you do not know your account numbers or who the agent is that is owed the debt.

FH Financial does offer to consolidate all of your credit card debt, medical bills, collections accounts, and other unsecured debts into 1 low monthly payment.   Depending on your situation and how much you can afford to pay determines the length of a Debt Settlement program.  You and your Debt Specialist will setup an affordable payment plan based on the amount of debt, your household expenses, and other bills.  Our payments plans are usually 12 to 48 months but we always encourage our clients to pay down the debt faster when they have the ability.

When you choose a payment plan, most consumers see their monthly payment cut in half from the current minimum payments.  For every $10,000 in debt, your monthly payment will be about $150.00 a month.  If you are $20,000 in debt, your monthly payment would be about $300.00 with a debt settlement program.  If you were paying the minimum credit card payment, you would pay over $800 a month.

If you have the cash available, or can access it within 7 days, FH Financial will begin to settle your debts immediately.  We will then provide you the settlement agreements reflecting how much debt we were able to eliminate.  At that time, the money will transfer from your account to the creditor and the settlement will be complete.  Within 45 days from when the debt was settled, the account will be reported to the credit bureaus that the account has been paid with a zero balance.
